There are so many well-intentioned people sharing the mantra, ‘no is a complete sentence’ and while that is technically true and reminds you that you do not need to justify saying no, it doesn’t take into consideration the heart of the matter…YOUR heart in the matter. This week, episode 117 of the Positively Living Podcast is about how to say no without feeling guilty or rude!
In this episode of the Positively Living Podcast, I’m sharing the importance of saying no to some things so that you are able to say yes to others and I provide actionable steps you can take right now to say no in a way that feels good to you and is effective.
I cover the following topics:
- Why we have such a difficult time saying no.
- What saying no actually means and why you may want to do it more often.
- How to say no firmly and respectfully.
- My simple formula for firm, but gracious replies.
Saying NO is an important part of protecting boundaries, but it’s not just about saying NO. It’s figuring out when and how to say it.
