Your personality plays a significant role in determining your productivity levels and once you understand your personality traits, you can leverage that to work smarter and achieve more. This week, episode 163 of the Positively Living Podcast is about the big 5 personality traits and what they mean for your productivity!
In this episode of the Positively Living Podcast, I share the 5 major personality traits from the Big Five Model (aka the Five Factor or the OCEAN assessment) and show you how your ranking for each can impact how you work best. I share what it might look like if you rank high or low in each trait and the benefits for both.
The Big Five personality traits are:
- Openness - How open a person is to new ideas and experiences.
- Conscientiousness - How goal-directed, persistent, and organized a person is.
- Extraversion - How much a person is energized by the outside world.
- Agreeableness - How much a person puts others' interests and needs ahead of their own.
- Neuroticism - How sensitive a person is to stress and negative emotional triggers.
Keep in mind, the Big 5 assessment isn’t about finding weaknesses or giving you a reason to judge yourself. Instead, it’s a way to understand how you work best so you can adapt your systems and environment to be more productive.
